I have always been
motivated by projects that contribute to social and/or environmental progression,
with a drive to create suitable and aesthetic design that can somewhat
popularise big concepts into an accessible output for the target audience. This
is normally achieved through heavy research and problem solving into the most
appropriate tone of voice. I also believe in the necessity of pooling
different cultures to expand beliefs and understandings, to establish a less
polarised, more tolerant, and culturally aware society.
My design ethos also responds
to promoting forums of creativity. This includes the importance of music as a
form of self-expression and freedom, and the use of audio as a strong aid in
the reception of art and design.
This is furthered by the idea
of designing to promote lateral ways of thinking and seeing, in a world that
institutionally favours literal approaches, embodied by facts and logic. Exposing
the conceptual process by depicting ways to draw inspiration from the
unexpected, I hope to communicate means to appreciate the smaller things, as to
push for a more holistic way of experiencing life. This is thus embodied by the
idea of using design as a tool to make things exciting, fun and appealing.
All this is achieved by
concept heavy design, that uses contextual relevance to carry the design
decisions.
