Pantone and their influence on colour:
Pantone LLC is an established authority of
colour. They provide colour systems as well as communicating accuracy of colour
through their advanced technology, which selects colour across a variety of
industries. Pantone alone, is a recognised name in language for colour
communication, that being anything from designer to manufacturer, to retailer
and customer.
It was in 1963 when Pantone’s founder
Lawrence Herbert pioneered a revolutionary system of identifying, matching and
communicating colours. This was with the intent of solving many design problems
associated with creating an exact and accurate colour match.
Since, Pantone has expanded their concept to
reach more colour reliant industries such as digital tech, textiles and paint.
