Additionally the attempt of adding extra fillings to the scene was considered as the walls came out a bit too white, however this was concluded to take away from the authenticity of the raw photographs themselves.
Outcomes
colour vs old look - what is more appropriate
I really liked the more relaxed images as they were particularly successful in conveying the idea that this event was in motion and happening, rather than just posed for an outcome.
Overly edited variations were produced in order to see if this tied in well with communicating the concept, however when relating back to research of Dali's banquet and less of the animated Alice in Wonderland, it seemed that Dali's interpretation of classic photograph seemed more appropriate, and that the anachronisms from the props do this job on their own.
Various colouring was trialled to see if it changed the mood of the imagery - the hues of different colours were manipulated to tighten the palette of colours. However, this took away from mayhem so was decided to stick with original colours.
Although black and white do come out successfully, the design decieded to stick with colour as it would be a shame to not present the unique vibrancy of the costumes. Additionally, taking the step into the modern (colour film) adheres to juxtaposition of electro-swing (new and old).
Selecting an appropriate range to be presented - as there is such a range, the design had to minimise repetition but selecting the best variations of each composition.
